imageActress Preity Zinta has been furious over claims that her IPL team King XI Punjab was linked to suspicious activity. On Wednesday, she blasted on an Indian media who has reported that she had accused several players of her own team of match-fixing.

An Indian media had reported on Wednesday that Zinta had told Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) officials during an IPL working group meeting on August 8 that some players from Kings XI Punjab may have indulged in suspicious activities linked to throwing matches. Zinta had also said that she had felt at times that some IPL matches involving her team had followed a pre-decided pattern and alleged that the BCCI's anti-corruption team has not been able to effectively tackle the match fixing issue.

However, in reaction to this, Zinta took to social networking site Twitter and Facebook to deny all the alleged speculations.

She posted, “This piece of article is completely false, libel per say, inaccurate and an irresponsible piece of journalism. I really would like to know who these sources are in this story?”.

“I am very proud to be part of KXIP. We have the best team & support staff & under No circumstance will I tolerate slander towards me or my team, especially when it comes to our Integrity. I will sincerely appreciate it, if responsible media do not try to damage our reputation & business by fueling this false article,” she added.

She also said that she has only suggested polygraph (lie detector) tests to BCCI so that no player can even think of match fixing.

Recently, actress Shilpa Shetty and husband Raj Kundra (Co-owner of Rajasthan Royal) was found guilty of match fixing in IPL.
