ISLAMABAD: Congratulating Senator Mian Raza Rabbani on his nomination for the post of Chairman Senate, Pakistan People's Party (PPP) Sindh General Secretary, Senator Taj Haider on Tuesday said he is well deserved for the slot.
In a statement issued, Taj Haider appreciated Senator Raza Rabbani's services to democracy. The decision of the PPP leadership to nominate him for the post is a reiteration of the truth that our commitment to democracy and the rights of the working class is as firm as ever and our struggle to achieve these cherished goals continues with full vigour.
Senator Taj Haider said Raza Rabbani had created unique consensus between all political parties while passing the historic 18th Amendment of the Constitution. There are still big challenges to democracy in Pakistan and the need of the hour is to strengthen this consensus between all political parties.
