Singer Taylor Swift music album ‘1989’ has beaten ‘Frozen’ to become the highest selling album of 2014.
Taylor Swift’s album ‘1989’ released on October 27 last year and has sold 3.66 million copies so far. While, Music album of Disney’s blockbuster film ‘Frozen’ held the title for every other week in 2014 but in the final week came in second place with 3.53 million copies sold, media reported.
As per reports, in 2014, ‘1989’ and ‘Frozen’ were the only two albums that sold over three million copies. In 2013, no album has reached this target. In 2013, Justin Timberlake’s album ‘The 20/20’ was the top-selling album with a sales record of 2.43 million.
It is not the first time Taylor Swift has taken the top-selling title, in 2009 her second album ‘Fearless’ took her to the number one spot, selling 3.22 million copies.
Taylor Swift is one of the biggest talents whose music is loved by millions of fans worldwide. ‘Shake it off’ singer is the youngest artist ever to be featured in a Grammy Museum exhibit. ‘The Taylor Swift Experience’ in a Grammy Museum will be open until May 10, 2015.
