Rock band ‘Paramore’ singer Hayley Williams has got engaged to longtime boyfriend Chad Gilbert.
According to media reports, Gilbert, who also composes music and provides backing vocals for his band, also announced his engagement to Williams on his Instagram account. Williams shared the happy news to more than four million Twitter followers with a funny photo of them as a bride and groom.
The singer Hayley Williams shared the news on Twitter as well as Williams made sure to thank her fans for their well wishes hours before 2014. Reportedly, the two were dating back in 2008; their big age difference had become an issue among some of their respective fans, while Williams and Gilbert have both been busy doing tours with their respective bands, the two always support one another regardless of distance, media reported.
Some of Fellow musicians including Taylor Swift, Katy Perry and Pete Wentz also sent their congratulations to the pair via Twitter.
Gilbert was previously married to Sherri DuPree from the Indie rock group Eisley, divorcing her in 2007.
