LAHORE: The position of rivers inflow and outflows at Tarbela, Mangla and Chashma along with the reservoirs levels and the barrages on Friday was as follows:
Rivers: Indus at Tarbela-Inflows 17,700 cusecs and Outflows 45,000 cusecs, Kabul at Nowshera: Inflows 8,400 cusecs and Outflows 8,400 cusecs, Jhelum at Mangla- Inflows 10,700 cusecs and Outflows 45,000 cusecs, Chenab at Marala- nflows 6,700 cusecs and Outflows 3,000 cusecs. Barrages: Jinnah-Inflows 51,300 cusecs and Outflows 43,800 cusecs, Chashma -Inflows 46,300 cusecs and Outflows 45,000 cusecs, Taunsa- Inflows 29,400 cusecs and Outflows 29,400 cusecs, Panjnad- Inflows 10,700 cusecs and Outflows 6,000 Guddu- Inflows 34,100 cusecs and Outflows 27,800 cusecs, Sukkur-Inflows 29,300 cusecs and Outflows 2,800 cusecs, Kotri- Inflows 5,200 cusecs and Outflows Nil cusecs.
Reservoirs Level and Storage: Tarbela - dead level 1380 feet, present level 1472.82 feet, maximum level 1550.00 feet, live storage 2.552 million acre feet (MAF) Mangla - dead level 1040 feet, present level 1180.25 feet, maximum level 1242.00 feet, live storage 3.295 MAF, Chashma ? dead level 637 feet, present level 643.60 feet, maximum level 649 feet, live storage 0.107 MAF.
The inflows and outflows of River Indus at Tarbela and Chashma, River Kabul at Nowshera and River Jhelum at Mangla have been reflected as mean flows of 24 hours, whereas the other flows were gauged at 6.00 am.
