MOSCOW: Russia's pipeline gas export monopoly Gazprom said on Tuesday its 2013 net profit fell 7 percent to 1.139 trillion roubles ($35.7 billion), broadly in line with forecasts, on the back of a weaker rouble.
Gazprom said its full-year 2012 net profit attributable to shareholders fell from 1.22 trillion roubles in the year-earlier period, and came broadly in line with the 1.145 trillion roubles projected in a Reuters poll of analysts.
Last year's sales rose to 5.25 trillion roubles from 4.77 trillion roubles in 2012, and above the expected 5.19 trillion roubles.
