ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Syed Yusuf Raza Gilani said the present government is utilising all resources for resolving issues of the people.
Speaking at the PTV award ceremony here late Monday night, he said the present government is taking all steps to provide avenues of entertainment to people.
He appreciated Pakistan Television for projecting democratic and progressive image of the country.
The Prime Minister congratulated officers of Ministry of Information and Broadcasting and Managing Director PTV Yousaf Baig Mirza for arranging the ceremony.
Gilani assured that the issues of artists would be resolved on priority basis and they would be given awards during their lifetime.
The Prime Minister said youth will be encouraged to participate in all walks of life.
Federal Minister for Information and Broadcasting Qamar Zaman Kaira said democracy has prevailed in the country and the government believes in giving rights to the people.
He lauded the PTV management for effectively running affairs of PTV.
Minister for Religious Affairs Syed Khurshid Shah and Advisor to Prime Minister on Interior Rehman Malik also commended efforts of PTV.
