SUKKUR: Lailatul Qadr, the Night of Honour considered to be the holiest Night, when the first verses of the Holy Quran was revealed to Prophet Hazrat Muhammad (PBUH), is being observed on Thursday night with due religious solemnity and reverence.

This is one of the holiest and most blessed nights, when the believers seek Forgiveness of Allah and His Mercy. The night is likely to occur on one of the odd nights on the last ten days of Ramazan and most likely to be the 27th.

Ulema and Khatib at the several mosques in Sukkur and its adjoining areas highlighted the significance of the night. People distributed sweats among the neighbours and poor. The mosques and houses were profusely lit.
