imagePESHAWAR: Governor Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Iqbal Zafar Jhagra in a message on the occassion of Eid-e-Milad-un-Nabi (SAW) has said that it was the day when the benefactor of humanity, Holy Prophet Hazrat Muhammad (SAWS) was born.

The emergence of Hazrat Muhammad (SAW) led to salvation of the humanity from evils of the worst kind.

"We, being Muslims, firmly believe that teachings of the Holy Prophet (SAW) are for the entire humanity for all times to come and key to lasting salvation both in this world and the here after".

He said "I extend my felicitations on this auspicious occasion to the countrymen and people of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and FATA ".

"Dignity of the humanity; patience and tolerance; brotherhood and fraternity are the core ingredients of the spirit of Islamic teachings. At this critical hour of trial in our national history, the Seerat-un-Nabi (SAW) needs to be taken as a beacon of light and source of guidance," he added.

Although we have passed through highly testing hours of our history over the recent past, yet with the Grace of Allah Almighty, the reconstruction and development phase is now in the offing.

"We as a nation salute the martyrs for making all this possible and will never let their sacrifices go in vain". Let us join the hands to ensure lasting stability and security of our beloved country, Islamic Republic of Pakistan.

On this auspicious occasion, I also appeal the countrymen to be more conscious of their surroundings as responsible citizens maintain unity and cohesion in their rank and file; work for betterment of humanity and the society and mould their lives in line with the teachings of the Holy Prophet (SAW).
