port-shipping BRATISLAVA: Slovakia's exports, the driving force of this eurozone economy, grew by 7.3 percent in November on a 12-month basis, after expanding by 12.1 percent in October, official data showed on Wednesday.

November imports grew by 3.9 percent after a 10.7-percent expansion in October, Slovak Statistics Office said.

An ex-communist country of 5.4 million, Slovakia is home to several global electronics plants and car makers.

These include Germany's Volkswagen, South Korean Kia and France's PSA Peugeot Citroen.

The European Commission has forecast that this auto and electronics-based economy, driven by foreign demand notably from Germany, will grow by 2.0 percent this year, making it one of the eurozone's top performers after expanding by an estimated 2.6 percent in 2012.
