LAHORE: The Lahore Stock Exchange on Wednesday witnessed bearish trend with loosing 30.07 points, following the LSE-25 index opened with 3339.71 and closed at 3309.64 points.
The market's overall situation also did not correspond to an upward trend as it remained at 750,417 shares to close against previous turnover of 1.087 million shares, showing a downward slide of 237,299 shares. While, out of the total 97 active scrips 20 moved up, 51 remained equal with 26 shed values.
Habib Bank Limited, Oil and Gas Development Corporation Limited, and United Bank Limited were Major Gainer of the day by recording increase in their per share value by Rs 5.01, Rs 2.30 and Rs 2.23 respectively.
Fauji Fertilizer Company, MCB Bank Limited and Engro Foods Limited lost their per share value by Rs 1.72, Rs 1.62 and Rs 1.43 respectively.
The Volume Leader of the day included The Bank of Punjab Limited with 2.849 million shares, Lafarge Pakistan Cement with 1.237 million shares, and Silk Bank Limited (Saudi) with 415,900 shares.
