WASHINGTON: The US private sector added 162,000 jobs in September, according to a closely-watched survey released Wednesday.
Payrolls company ADP said the number of non-farm jobs created in the private sector was down by 14 percent from August.
ADP also made a downward revision of gains from previous months this year: The July increase was reduced by 17,000 to an increase of 156,000, while the August increase was reduced by 12,000 to an increase of 189,000.
