ISLAMABAD: The power shortfall in the country on Tuesday again increased to 2,995 MW from 2,705 MW as the total generation was recorded 11,405 MW against the demand of 14,400 MW during the last 24 hours.
According to report on daily power generation and load-management position, the hydel generation stood at 4,448 MW, WAPDA thermal 1,643 MW and IPPs 5,314 MW.
Sui Southern Gas Pipeline Limited has curtailed gas to SAIF, Halmor and Saphire power plants due to tripping of Qadir Pur gas field resulting generation reduced by 800 MW.
Guddu power plant is generating 663 MW against 1100 MW while KAPCO is supplying mere 560 MW against 1342 MW. AES Pakgen (350 MW), Hubco Unit.2 (300 MW) on forced outage and Hubco Unit No-3 (300 MW) on scheduled outage.
