PRAGUE: Central European currencies held steady on Tuesday, with the zloty stuck near a six-week low before the end of a Polish central bank meeting that will shed more light on how soon interest rates could drop to boost a slowing economy.
Traders said activity was slow coming out of a long US holiday weekend and before the European Central Bank meets on Thursday, when it is expected to unveil details of a long awaited debt-buying scheme to tackle the Europe's debt crisis.
