KARACHI: Four ships carrying containers, chemical and furnace oil were allotted berth on Qasim International Containers Terminal, Engro Vopak Terminal and FOTCO Terminal on Tuesday.
Meanwhile seven more ships scheduled to load/offload containers, chemicals canola seeds, project cargo, diesel oil and edible oil also arrived at outer anchorage of Port Qasim during last 24 hours.
Berth occupancy was 40% at the Port Qasim on Wednesday where total number of four ships namely MV. Maersk Kingston, Nedlloyed Barentz, MV.Diamond Corla and Euro Sea are currently occupying berths to load/offload containers, chemicals and furnace oil respectively during last 24 hours.
A cargo volume of 87,784 tonnes comprising 65,146 tonnes imports and 22,638 tonnes exports inclusive of containerized cargo carried in 2,808 containers (Boxes) were handle at the Port Qasim during last 24 hours.
