unemployment 400HUNZA: Deputy Speaker Gilgit-Baltistan Legislative Assembly Jameel Ahmed Thursday said the utmost priority of the government was to reduce unemployment and poverty from the region.

Talking to APP he said the government had presented a record budget of Rs. 19.3 billion, of which, Rs. 8 billion were allocated for the development projects while Rs. 11 billion for non-developmental work.

He said a large number of posts in different department would be created to reduce unemployment from the area.

The deputy speaker said a plan to provide, free of interest, loans to the youth was also under consideration.

He appealed the masses to cooperate with the government in order to overcome sectarian problems.
