Liverpool eye Koulibaly transfer this summer

English Premier League giants Liverpool is aiming to land Napoli’s star defender Kalidou Koulibaly to Anfield this summer, as Reds boss added fuel to a potential move.

The Senegal international is being rated as one best center-backs currently and have been linked to a move away from the San Paolo Stadium in Italy.

As per the French media outfit Le10Sport, the Reds boss Jurgen Klopp has contacted the defender in order to persuade him to join the current European champions where he will have a chance to form a formidable defensive partnership alongside Dutch international Virgil van Dijk.

Meanwhile, Paris Saint Germain (PSG), who are linked to make a move for Cristiano Ronaldo, are also interested in signing the Senegal center-bank as a potential replacement of departing Thiago Silva.

Koulibaly has been with Napoli since summer 2014 when he moved from Belgian club KRC Genk for a reported transfer fee of €7.75 million.

Since then, the 28-year-old has represented his current club in 233 matches in all competitions where he has managed to score 10 goals and provided five assists.
