KARACHI: C.V Maersk Utah carrying containers was allotted berth at Qasim International Container Terminal on Sunday, May 27.
Meanwhile three more ships carrying containers and palm oil also arrived at outer anchorage of Port Qasim during last 24 hours.
Berth occupancy was managed at the Port at 29% on Sunday where four ships namely C.V Maersk Utah, C.V Sargasso Sea, M.V Luilang Wisdom and M.T Bow Fertility were occupied at PQA berths to load/offload containers, wheat and palm oil respectively during last 24 hours.
A cargo volume of 46,451 tonnes comprises 16.609 tonnes imports and 29,842 tonnes exports inclusive containerized cargo carried in 1,979 containers (TEUs) was handled at the Port during last 24 hours.
Container vessel Maersk Utah sailed out to sea on Monday morning while two more ships M.V Luilang Wisdom and M.T Bow Fertility are expected to sail on same day afternoon.
Four ships C.V CMA CGM Eiffel, C.V Tampa Bay, M.T EMA Querida and M.T STX knight carrying containers, palm oil and chemicals are expected to take berths QICT, LCT and EVTL respectively on Monday, 28th May. Two ships C.V Nodlloyd Drake and M.T AI-Mukhtarah are due to arrive at Port Qasim on same day while three more ships C.V CMA CGM Mozart, C.V MSC Jenny and C.V ER Perth are due arrive on Tuesday, May 29.
