Virat Kohli dethrones Salman Khan to become India’s ‘highest earning celebrity of 2019’

• Forbes India has published its list of Celebrity 100 for the year 2019 which has been topped by Indian cricket captain.
• The second position in the list is dominated by Akshay Kumar followed by Salman Khan on third spot.

Indian cricketer Virat Kohli has emerged as the highest earning celebrity of 2019, according to the list released by Forbes India. Kohli has dethroned Bollywood superstar Salman Khan who was ruling the top spot since 2016.

The magazine has published its list of Celebrity 100 for the year 2019 which has been topped by Indian cricket captain with the earning of Rs 253 crore. Kohli was on second spot last year but with multiple brand endorsements and a prolific career he has now grabbed the top spot in the list.

The second position in the list is dominated by Akshay Kumar whose earning in 2019 is Rs 293.25 crore. Salman Khan has slipped to the third position with an estimated earning of Rs 229.25 crore in 2019.

Forbes ranking is an aggregate of the estimated earnings and the fame quotient. Hence, some celebrities, who are scoring very high on fame, might emerge as ranking higher than those who have higher revenues but a poor fame score.
