KARACHI: Shipping activity remained active at the Port Qasim during last 24 hours, where two ships carrying containers and edible oil were allotted berth at International Containers Terminal and LCT Terminal respectively on Sunday, April 8, 2012.
Meanwhile one more ship scheduled to load/offload containers also arrived at outer anchorage of the port during last 24 hours.
Berth occupancy was 18 percent on Monday where total number of two ships namely MV.Maersk Utah and MV. Argent Gerbera are currently occupying berths to load/offload containers and edible oil respectively during last 24 hours.
A cargo volume of 34296 tonnes comprising 27156 tonnes imports and 7140 tonnes exports was handled inclusive of containerized cargo carried in 1013 containers (Boxes) at the port during last 24 hours.
