Pakistan's star top order batsman Babar Azam showcased his class once again with a fabulous knock of 83 for his side Somerset against Sussex at the ongoing Vitality Blast.

Azam, who is enjoying a purple patch for quite some time now, reached the figures of 83 off just 50 deliveries, featuring 10 boundaries and two maximums. The star performer, however, failed to take his side to the winning line after Somerset lost to Sussex by 13 runs.

Previously, Azam scored 95 runs against Hampshire scoring these runs off 61 deliveries, hitting nine boundaries and three sixes.

Azam, who is the number one ranked ICC T20I batsman, was the top pick for his side in the ongoing tournament, featuring other major stars including Proteas superstar AB de Villiers, Pakistan’s aggressive batsman Fakhar Zaman and pace spearhead Mohammad Amir.
