Ramiz Raja believes dropping Shadab Khan against Australia a 'poor decision'

Pakistan's former captain-turned-cricket commentator Ramiz Raja criticised the team selectors for their choice of squad for match against Australia at the ICC World Cup 2019.

“According to me, Pakistan have selected the wrong team because they saw greenery on the pitch and overcast conditions and dropped Shadab Khan. He is not a bowler who should be dropped because a leg spinner gives you the attacking option," Raja said.

He added that Shaheen Shah Afridi's replacing Shadab was not a good decision. "Whereas, Shaheen Shah Afridi, despite being a talented bloke is ring rusty, and he would not have much confidence after mediocre performance in the last game,” Raja said. “Pakistan does not need to make changes in its trump cards…. So it has been a very poor selection from their part” he added.

Shadab was dropped from the match against Australia and the selection team went on to pick speedster Shaheen Shah Afridi instead.
