Gas imports to Iraq from Iran will rise in June -ministry

BAGHDAD: Gas import shipments to Iraq from Iran will increase to 35 million cubic metres in June from 28 million cubic metres, Iraq's electricity ministry said on Monday.

Iraq has no alternative to importing Iranian gas, he told reporters on the sidelines of an energy forum in Baghdad. Halting imports will cost Iraq 4,000 megawatts of power, he added.
