ISLAMABAD: Zong 4G and FINCA Microfinance Bank Pakistan have entered into a strategic alliance aimed to uplift the digital and financial ecosystem of Pakistan.
Leveraging on Pakistan’s best 4G services, the strategic collaboration between the two organizations will enable FINCA customers to perform all sorts of banking activities over their digital mobile application “SimSim”, said a press release issued here on Tuesday.
In a memorandum of understanding (MoU) signed between Zong and FINCA, the companies will bring together their expertise to ensure digital financial inclusion and experiences for FINCA’s customers across the combined footprint of both the corporates in the length and breadth of the country.
Zong 4G has always been a proponent of 4G excellence to nurture a digital ecosystem in the country. As the pioneer of 4G services in the country, Zong 4G has over 11 million 4G customers, spread across a coverage footprint of more than 10,000 4G sites.
Combined with FINCA’s expansive financial network of more than 130 branches in over 120 cities, the collaboration will increase the outreach to potential and existing micro-finance customers.

On the occasion, CEO FINCA Microfinance Bank, M. Mudassir Aqil said, “At FINCA, we are determined to empower people through digital financial inclusion. By leveraging on the widest 4G network of the country, we are digitizing branchless banking for the strata of our low income entrepreneurs.”
The MoU reinforces Zong 4G’s mission for digital inclusion, leading the best ecosystem of “4G communication” for every Pakistani to be able to connect anytime, anywhere alongside FINCA’s pursuit for alleviating poverty by providing lasting solutions that help people build assets, create jobs and raise their standard of living.
Together the companies will enable ubiquitous connectivity for their users that will enable customers to enjoy new experiences.
