Cricketers slam umpire’s ‘unforgivable mistake’ at IPL 2019
It seems as if the ongoing season of Indian Premier League (IPL) will continue to attract more controversies, as after the infamous ‘Mankad’ dismissal by Ravichandran Ashwin, the latest one is a no-ball getting missed by umpires at an IPL match last night.
The outspoken Virat Kohli blasted the on-field umpires after they missed a no-ball off the final delivery bowled by Lasith Malinga of the match between Royal Challengers Bangalore and Mumbai Indians, which eventually led to a loss for RCB.
"We are playing at IPL level, not club cricket," Kohli said at the post-match presentation. "That's just a ridiculous call off the last ball. The umpires should have their eyes open, it was a no-ball by an inch. It's a completely different game altogether [if there was the extra delivery]. So if it's a game of margins, I don't know what's happening. They should have been more sharp and more careful out there," slammed the RCB captain.
The cricketers too spoke out against the poor umpiring committed by the on-field umpire Sundaram Ravi, India´s only representative in ICC´s Elite panel.
Technology should be used much more often in cricket ... so many front foot no-balls missed all the time in all formats and only checked on dismissal. Should be as simple as 3rd umpire telling the umpire through ear piece that a no ball has been bowled.

I believe with the technology that's being used in cricket for different things what happened in the #MIvsRCB match highlighted that more should be done.
