Sohail says Pakistan should experiment with Ahsan Ali, Ahmed Shehzad

Pakistan former captain and opening batsman Aamer Sohail has said that the national selection committee should experiment with Quetta Gladiators batsmen Ahsan Ali and Ahmed Shehzad.

“Since we are experimenting, I would like to see two players which are in a pretty good form to be tested by Pakistan. One is Ahsan Ali and the other one is Ahmed Shehzad, I think that the selection committee should call them,” said Sohail, while talking to local media.  I

The cricket analyst praised Ahsan Ali, the Karachi born youngster was impressive with the bat for his side Quetta Gladiators during the fourth edition of Pakistan Super League, which concluded with the Gladiators winning their first ever PSL title.

“I believe that Ahsan Ali got a lot of spark if he gets utilized well, and the way he bat for the Quetta Gladiators in the last three or four matches was very impressive, alongside Ahmed Shehzad,” said Sohail.

Meanwhile, Pakistan at the moment is playing an ODI series against Australia. With the series 2-0 in favor of Australia, hosts Pakistan would need to win the remaining three ODIs of the series, which are scheduled to be played in Abu Dhabi and Dubai on March 27, 29 and 31 respectively.
