BUCHAREST: Romania's consolidated budget deficit widened to 2.7 percent of gross domestic product in the first 11 months from a shortfall of 2.2 percent at the end of October, finance ministry data showed on Monday.

The government targets a full-year deficit of just under 3 percent of GDP. In nominal terms, the gap at the end of November stood at 26 billion lei ($6.38 billion).

Revenues were at 27.5 percent of GDP, or roughly 261 billion lei. Spending stood at 287 billion lei.
