Pakistan were wrapped up on 181 in their first innings against South Africa, on day first of Test number one at Centurion on Wednesday.

For Pakistan, Babar Azam proved to be the top scorer, who hit a blistering knock of 71 runs off 79 deliveries, hitting 15 boundaries taking Dale Steyn to the fence. However, he was caught by Proteas skipper Faf du Plessis off Kagiso Rabada delivery.

For the home side, Duanne Olivier was there go to bowler with six wickets in his kitty, whereas Rabada picked up three.

Earlier, Steyn became the most successful South African Test bowler, overtaking former captain Shaun Pollack's tally of 421 Test wickets.

Earlier, skipper Sarfraz Ahmed opted to bat first against South Africa. Pakistan lineup suffered yet another blow after batsman Haris Sohail was ruled out on the morning of the match with a knee problem. He was replaced by Shan Masood.
