Turkish Ambassador to Pakistan Mustafa Yurdakul has expressed satisfaction over growing Pak-Turkish ties in multifaceted areas, adding that both the countries share common stands on various global issues. He said this while addressing an Iftar dinner jointly hosted by Al Khidmat Foundation of Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) Pakistan and Turkish Cooperation and Coordination Agency's (TiKA) Pakistan Program arranged for orphan kids.
He said, "It is not only our religious duty to take care of orphans but also state, social and moral duty to pay all necessary attention on the wellbeing of the orphan children who are the most marginalized segment of our society."
President Alkhidmat Foundation Pakistan (AKFP), Muhammad Abdus Shakoor said, "Turkey has always supported Pakistan's stance on the issue of Kashmir and we are grateful to our Turkish brothers for it." He said Pakistan unconditionally supports Turkey's stance on the issue of North Cyprus and underscored that Pakistan strongly condemns terrorism in all its forms and manifestations.
Shakoor said that almost three decades ago, Alkhidmat Foundation Pakistan was registered as a non-profit organization with the mission of "service to humanity with integrity".
"We have been striving to fulfill our vision without any discrimination on the basis of religion, color, race or political affiliation throughout this time. We have expanded our operations up to seven areas: disaster management, education, health services, clean water, orphan care, Mawakhat and community services which altogether cover all fields of the life," he added.
He also praised the leadership of Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan and said that he is a brave leader of the Islamic World who always takes a just and fair stand for the resolution of challenges face by the Muslim Ummah.
Other speakers speaking on the occasion said that the both the countries have deep brotherly relations since the creation of Pakistan. Pakistan and Turkey are playing a very positive role towards the resolution of different international issues. They said that Turkey has dealt with the Middle East crisis and especially the issue of refugees in a very positive manner.
They also expressed his pleasure on close cooperation between the two countries in different fields including defence which would further grow in the coming days, adding that the people of Pakistan have best wishes to the people of turkey as well as Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan.
