NAIROBI: The Kenyan shilling strengthened against the dollar on Wednesday due to tight liquidity in the money market and thin dollar demand from merchant importers ahead of the holiday season, traders said.
At 0811 GMT, commercial banks quoted the shilling at 101.95/102.15 per dollar, compared with 102.30/50 at Tuesday's close.
