Parties repose confidence on PM
ISLAMABAD: A meeting of the allied parties on Monday reposed full confidence in the government led by Prime Minister Syed Yousuf Raza Gilani, also vowed to continue to work for the strength and continuity of the democracy in the country.
The meeting here at the PM House was attended by Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain leader of PML-Q, Asfandyar Wali of ANP, Farooq Sattar of MQM, Muneer Aurakzai head of parliamentary group from FATA, Interior Minister Rehman Malik, Minister for Religious Affairs Syed Khurshid Shah, Minister for Water and Power Syed Naveed Qamar, Minister for Railways Haji Ghulam Ahmed Bilour and Raja Parvaiz Ashraf MNA.
They discussed the prevailing political situation in the country and agreed to continue to work together to ensure that the nascent democratic system in the country continues to flourish and gain from strength to strength.
