Railways to improve land record system

LAHORE: Pakistan Railways Lahore division will improve its land record system and its maintenance, so that proper protection of the railways lands could be ensured.

According to the PR sources on Friday, Pakistan Railway Lahore Divisional Superintendent (DS) M Sufyan Sarfaraz Dogar said this while chairing a meeting on the land record, held at the DS office.

He directed the Inspectors of Works to ensure zero encroachment policy in their areas.

"In case of encroachment on any area, the staff concerned will be held responsible and strict action will be taken against them," he added.

He said that railways lands would be protected in line with the direction of PR Minister Sheikh Rashid Ahmad.
