Frontier College Women Peshawar upset Government Girls College Pabbi, District Nowshera by just two runs in the opening match of the Shaheed Benazir Bhutto Women University Inter-College Girls Cricket Tournament, which got under way here at Campus ground on Thursday.
Vice Chancellor Shaheed Benazir Bhutto Women University Professor Dr Razia Sultana was the chief guest on this occasion. Organising Secretary Miss Mariyya Samin, Miss Raham Bibi (Peshawar), Miss Farhad (Nowshera), Miss Suria Khan (Pabbi), Miss Salma Faiz and Roheena Tabasum, players and spectators were also present. Before the start of the players of all the participation 12 teams were introduced to her.
In the opening match Frontier College for Women defeated Pabbi College by just two runs in a dramatically ended encounter. Frontier College for Women skipper Kiran won the toss and decided to bat first by setting up 85 runs target in the 20 overs. In reply, Girls College Pabbi bowled out for 83 runs.
