Watch: Action-packed ‘Thugs of Hindostan’ trailer is finally out

After a long impatient wait, trailer for this year's much awaited Bollywood film ‘Thugs of Hindostan’ has finally been released, leaving fans wanting to see more.

The movie has a starry cast including Amitabh Bachchan, Aamir Khan, Katrina Kaif and Fatima Sana Sheikh in lead roles. The film shows the massacre story between Indians and the British’s East India Company, taking us back to the year 1795.

The over three-minute trailer opens with Aamir describing the era where East India Company wanted to take over the Subcontinent, but how a fraction of those Indians who didn’t accept the state slavery to the British stood out to fight them for freedom.

We next see Amitabh, named as ‘Khudabaksh’, but also known as ‘Azaad’ in the movie, fearlessly fighting with the British army and is then joined by Fatima too, who portrays ‘Zafira’. It is then when Aamir is introduced as ‘Firangi’ who is portrayed as a ‘thug’ to capture Azaad.

Later on almost at the end of the trailer, audience finally get a few glimpses of Katrina, who is playing the role of ‘Surraiya’ in the film. Despite just a few glimpses, Kat manages to capture attention in the trailer. Although others seem to be playing much diverse characters, Katrina seems to be playing a character similar to her many previous roles.

The trailer ends with what is seemingly a fight between Amitabh and Aamir. Based on the novel ‘Confessions of a Thug’ by Philip Meadows Taylors, the movie is slated to hit cinemas on November 8 this year.
