Director General Inter-Service Public Relations (ISPR) Major General Asif Ghafoor congratulated an Army Public School’s attack survivor and activist for peace and education Ahmad Nawaz today on achieving exceptional results in O’Level examination.

The teenager got six A* and two As in his eight International GCSE [General Certificate of Secondary Education] exams.

After knowing about Nawaz’s achievements, Maj Gen Ghafoor wrote on twitter, "You made us all proud and defeated evil forces through your courage, determination and power of education.”

Earlier, Nawaz shared the news of his achievement on Twitter after the announcement of results and tweeted about his accomplishment, “Thanks to my parents and all of you for supporting me,” he said. Moreover, he even mentioned about his dream of getting admitted in the Oxford University and how these outstanding grades have taken him closer to going there.

When hundreds of young students were massacred by terrorists, Nawaz was lucky enough to survive the deadly attack at APS in December 2014. Having given speeches as key note speaker at United Nations and attending conferences of the Nobel Prize laureates, he has also served as an ambassador to organizations such as World Merit, Comprehensive Disaster Response Services (CDRS) and Oxford Fund.
