GILGIT: Hundreds of PTI supporters came out on streets in several areas of Gilgit Baltistan, dancing and celebrating Pakistan Tehrik-e-Insaaf (PTI) win in general election 2018.
The celebrations were observed in all districts of Gilgit Baltistan after trends showed that PTI was leading other political parties by a wide margin.
The supporters of PTI in large numbers came out on streets, including in province’s capital Gilgit, with loud speakers, playing party songs and dancing.
“We have got our Naya Pakistan,” said Fathaullah, one of the main supporters of PTI, as he danced euphorically near the busy Cinema bazaar of Gilgit.
Leader of PTI and former member of GB legislative Assembly, Amena Ansari while talking to this scribe said “I extend my special thanks to the people of Pakistan who showed their confidence in PTI”.
She further stated that we are going to make Naya Pakistan under the leadership of Imran Khan.
Similar midnight and early morning celebrations were being organized in many other parts of Gilgit Baltistan.
