UD Trucks launches heavy-duty Quester in Pakistan

UD Trucks, the Japanese trucks and bus manufacturer, has launched Quester heavy-duty trucks range in Pakistan.
“Pakistan has great economic potential, demand is expected to grow further as China’s ‘belt and road’ initiative progresses and large infrastructure projects take hold under the China Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC),” stated UD motors.
Japanese brands hold the largest share of Pakistan’s market for commercial vehicles and UD Trucks has been providing trucks in the country for over 50 years.
Quester is being offered in three models: 6 x 4 tractor (rear-wheel two-axle drive); 6 x 2 tractor (rear wheel, single-axle drive), and 6 x 4 rigid (single vehicle). Its 370 hp engine delivers high power as well as excellent safety performance.
“Transport methods in Pakistan are changing from taking a long time on low-power and overloading trucks to a new method emphasizing efficiency and productivity using large, high-power fuel-efficient trucks. Our Quester is a perfect fit for this new method,” stated Hiroshi Yokofujita, UD Trucks’ Sales Director for the Middle East Northeast African Region.
