Awais Leghari congratulates teams on achieving new highest electricity generation

ISLAMABAD: The Federal Minister for Power Division Sardar Awais Awais Ahmed Khan Leghari has congratulated the teams on achieving new highest Electricity generation.

The Electricity Generation on Wednesday has reached to new record level of 19798 MW while on May 11 2018, the electricity generation was reached to 19248MW, said a press release here on Wednesday.

Last year the highest Electricity generation recorded was 19200MW.

Minister of State Power Division Ch Abid Sher Ali also extended his congratulations. In the coming days with increase in hydel generation and also COD of plants the generation is expected to reach to new high level.

The contribution of IPPs in today's 19798MW remained 13100MW, WAPDA Hydel 4209 MW and GENCOs 2489MW.
