Indonesia oil lifting at 750,600 bpd in first quarter

Published Updated

JAKARTA: Indonesia's crude oil lifting reached 750,600 barrels per day, while natural gas lifting was at 1,139,000 barrels of oil equivalent per day in the first quarter of 2018, data from upstream oil and gas regulator (SKKMigas) showed.

Investment in Indonesia's oil and gas sector totalled $2.4 billion over the same period, or 17 percent of the 2018 budget target of $14.2 billion, the data showed on Wednesday.

The data was confirmed by SKKMigas spokesman Wisnu Prabawa Taher.

Lifting refers to oil or gas output that is ready for shipping and sometimes differs to production.
