Govt did address power shortage issue: Owais

DERA GHAZI KHAN: Federal Minister for Power Division Owais Leghari on Saturday said that the government has definitely fulfilled its pledge to end electricity loadshedding in the country.

Addressing a ceremony, which was presided over by Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi here, the minister said the loadshedding was only done at the feeders where the menace of electricity theft was being reported.

He said that the country could make rapid progress under vibrant leadership of Nawaz Sharif only.

Earlier, the Prime Minister performed the groundbreaking of two mega projects including the construction of Northern Bypass and widening of Rakhi Gajj-Bewata Section 1.
