KARACHI: Shipping activity remained active during last 24 hours at the Port where two ships furnace oil and edible oil were allotted berths FOTCO Terminal and Liquid Cargo Terminal respectively on Monday, December 19.
Meanwhile four more ships scheduled to load/offload containers, chemicals, general cargo and furnace oil also arrived at outer anchorage of Port Qasim during last 24 hours.
Berth occupancy was 40 percent at the Port on Thursday where total number of five ships namely M.V Afamia, Palute, Bow Jubail, M.T Quetta and Liquid Platinum are currently occupying berths to load/offload rice, canola seeds, chemical, furnace oil and edible oil respectively during last 24 hours.
A cargo volume of 58,611 tonnes, comprising 55,359 tonnes imports and 3252 tonnes exports was handle at the Port during last 24 hours.
Canola Seed ship M.V Palute sailed out to sea on Tuesday morning while one more ship of chemical will sail later today.
