The Juma-tul-wida (last Friday of Ramazan-ul-Mubarak) was observed with religious fervour and benediction here in the provincial metropolis. A large number of Muslim performed Jumma prayer in all Jamia mosques in the city and cantonment areas, rest of districts in the province.
Speaking on the occasion, Ulema highlighted the significance of Ramazan-ul-Mubarak and urged upon the Muslim Ummah to follow the path of holy Prophet (SAW) and fully act upon the teachings of Islam. They delivered special sermons and offered prayer for the prosperity, peace and integrity of the country.
Special security arrangements have been made to thwart any kind of untoward incident on the occasion. The administration of all cities and towns had devised a tangible plan under the massive security steps. Police personnel in plain clothes were deployed at all major and local mosques according to the comprehensive security plan, particularly Sonheri Mosque, Masjid Mohabat Khan and Zargoni, while Jumma prayer was also held in cantonment, university road, Hayatabad and rest of districts amid tight security arrangements. All major routes heading towards jamia mosques were cordoned off while holding the jumma prayer.
