Pakistan spin prodigy Shadab Khan proved his credentials once again after another fine bowling performance on Wednesday, for the Brisbane Heat at the Big Bash League (BBL).

The leggie from Pakistan, who became the youngest foreign player to play in the BBL, finished off with two wickets for 27 runs from 4 overs against the Sydney Thunder.

Shadab bowled Thunder opener and England’s wicketkeeper batsman Jos Butler on 23 in his second over, after Butler was unable to read a straighter one and got castled.

The Thunder skipper Shane Watson was the second one to perish to Shadab, looking dangerous on 56, Watson clicked a lofted drive safely in the hands of Burns  in the 14th over.

Earlier, Khan was awarded the Player of the Match award for picking up two for 17, as he cleaned up the Melbourne Renegades opening pair skipper Aaron Finch and Marcus Harris for 8 and 9, respectively.

It was reported that fellow countrymen leg spinner Yasir Shah would replace Shadab in the later part of the BBL.
