Waqar wants T10 cricket in Test format

Pakistan legendary fast bowler Waqar Younis, has came with a new innovative idea, to bolster both the latest inductee T10 cricket and the good old Tests.
Pakistan former coach was of the view that ‘innovation and change’ are the only things needed to take the game forward, as he called for T10 matches in Test format.
“To feed my love of Test cricket and to build on this T10 initiative, how about T10 matches in Test format? Two innings, 10 overs each with leads/trails, follow on, etc. Innovation & change is the only way forward in this world. Thoughts?” posted Waqar on social media.

Earlier, the inaugural T10 League concluded with much pomp and glory on Sunday at UAE’s Sharjah Stadium, as Kerala Kings under the leadership of captained by England’s captain Eoin Morgan conquer T10 Cricket League, the bowlers who ensured the team victory were Pakistan pacers Sohail Tanvir and Wahab Riaz.
Waqar concept however, is nothing new as a similar idea called the 2XCricket, or Two 10 Cricket, was implemented in the USA last year. The 2XCricket is a T20 game that will be played in a span of four innings with all basic rules of Test cricket applying to it.
