Indian veteran actor Shashi Kapoor died on Monday December 4 in Mumbai and condolences started coming from everywhere on this sudden demise. The Bollywood celebrities started rushing back to the city to bid farewell to the legendary actor.

One such homage presented by the British Broadcasting Corporation (BBC) captured all the attention as the channel showed images of Amitabh Bachchan and Rishi Kapoor instead of showing the pictures of Shashi Kapoor with the tribute.

This act of the channel was bashed by the social media from left right and center. People started posting the videos of the homage asking for apology from the channel. The fascinating fact about this news is that the late actor had not just worked in Bollywood but also in number of English projects including ‘Side Streets’ and ‘Gulliver’s Travels’.

BBC editor Paul Royall immediately issued an apology for this mistake and tweeted about the gaffe,

The legendary actor was cremated earlier today and Bollywood celebrities including Amitabh Bachchan, Shah Rukh Khan, grand nephew son and daughters Ranbir Kapoor, Kareena Kapoor and Karisma Kapoor with husband Saif Ali Khan came to bid their final good-bye to the veteran actor.
