Daddy Moin Khan defends Azam's selection in Gladiators
Quetta Gladiators head coach Moin Khan hits back at critics over his son Azam Khan’s selection, saying that his son is a talented player and will answer his critics through his performance.
In an interview, former captain of Pakistan defending his son said, “[Azam] is a talented player and that is why he’s been picked. Hope he’ll perform to answer his critics. He will have to perform. He’s talented and will take time to learn as well.”
“We must support all new kids. They are all Pakistanis and future of Pakistan,” Moin added.
Inclusion of Moin Khan’s son in PSL3 isn’t going down well with fans
Commenting on recent comments by Mustafa Kamal and Balochistan cricket associations, he said no franchise is bound to pick a player from any particular city or region. “It is the PCB’s responsibility to pick, develop and highlight players from Balochistan and the privately owned franchise should not be made a target of criticism,” he added.
While responding to a question for not picking any Balochistan player, he said, “People are unnecessarily making it a political issue. No franchise is legally bound to include players from the region it is affiliated with. Although we believe that it is our moral duty to work for Quetta.”
