LONDON: The London stock market steadied in opening deals on Wednesday, while top eurozone indices retreated.
The British capital's benchmark FTSE 100 index of major blue-chip companies was unchanged at 7,472.88 points in initial trade.
In the eurozone, Frankfurt's DAX 30 index shed 0.2 percent to 12,792.32 points, and the Paris CAC 40 lost 0.4 percent to 5,273 compared with Tuesday's closing level.
