CAIRO: Egypt has bought 1.265 million tonnes of wheat from farmers since its harvest began in mid-April, the supply ministry said on Thursday.

Supply Minister Ali Moselhy has said he expects to buy about 3.8 million tonnes of wheat from local farmers during the harvest, which runs through July.
