imageTopsy-turvy could be right word to describe Asad Shafiq cricket career, the Pakistan middle order batsman has been phenomenal in the games purest form, but has failed to repeat the same in limited overs.

Asad dismal show against the Australian in the ongoing ODI series has raised questions over his position in the squad. Azhar Mehmood, Pakistan bowling coach, believe that all Asad need is to be consistent in the limited overs.

He is a quality player... its just the consistent playing in the One Day side, said former Pakistan all rounder, quoted cricket.com.au. Azhar was of the view that playing in Test matches, Asad has done wonders for Pakistan cricket and in terms of One Day cricket, he has to play more consistently.

Asad Shafiq won high praise recently, after he broke the record of West Indian great Sir Garfield Sobers, for hitting most hundreds (9) batting at number six, surpassing the legendry West Indian All-Rounder Sir Garfield Sobers. He scored 137 runs against Australia at Brisbane in December.

Despite an impressive run in Tests, Asad has not been a regular face in the limited overs format. Prior playing against Australia, Asad last represented the green shirts against Zimbabwe in 2015.
