Team Pakistan got a horrid start against the Aussies at Gabba, as the much anticipated Test series of the season became a one sided affair after a batting collapse by Pakistan in their first innings.
However, despite the teams struggle on the Australian tracks, Pakistan coach Mickey Arthur is of the view that the team remains a balanced side. "We've got an attack that's pretty balanced and we've got guys that are sort of specialists in all areas," Arthur said on ABC radio on Saturday.
One of the major concerns for team Pakistan were its batsmens inability to adjust to the pace loving Gabba pitch, as the team was decimated for 142 in their first outing. Whereas, the bowling attack too lack the much needed sting as the company of Mohammad Amir, Wahab Riaz and Rahat Ali, lacked the variation.
Arthur opined that they selected three of our best bowlers available, and did their working against the hosts.
"I think we picked our three best bowlers. I think we've always got to pick your three best bowlers. I'd be lying if I said we didn't have a look at the Australian side, seven left-handers in their XI, if we get it to swing it's left-arm to left-arm," he said.
